Sponsoring M1911.ORG

This site was started (and still is) an amateur effort, through which, I wanted to provide Internet surfers, with information about this magnificent firearm. During the initial phases, several people, like Bill Wilson, approached me and asked to support this effort of mine, in return for some advertisement. Wilson Combat has therefore become my first sponsor. Bill provided me with a lot of parts that I needed for my pistol, and I am really grateful for this.

Later on, several firms have undertaken the support of this site. Between them Cast & Blast, ART Enterprises and Skyline Technology Inc., the makers of the Original Clipdraw (http://www.clipdraw.com) were kind enough to to sponsor me. You can always contact them for their opinion.

Today, my sponsors are the ones whose banners appear on the right column of the site and of course Lightband Communications (http://www.lightband.com), which is the firm hosting this site on their web server. If you want to get in touch with one of them, to ask questions about sponsorship, please let me know.

I would say that the sponsor will benefit most, if he is directly related with the M-1911 world, either as a manufacturer of guns or accessories or a reseller. The sponsor should also have a web site of his own, althought this is not mandatory, as I can host some pages for him.

In return for their money, the sponsor's logo, will appear in each and every Page of this site, exactly like the logo of Alumagrips for example. M1911.ORG is receiving a steady 1700-2200 visitors per day for the last year (at the start-up page, I am not counting the hits to other pages, see the previous server statistics (up to April 2004) and the latest server statistics (after April 2004) for more information), which means that about 1700-2200 potential customers will see your logo every day.

Another interesting thing you should consider, is the fact that M1911.ORG banners are fixed, they are not rotated on an arbitrary manner, like some commercial sites do. What this means, for the sponsor, is that his banner is always shown, in other words, there are more possibilities to attract a potential customer.

Finally, one more thing that I consider important. For the past three years, M1911.ORG is the first site returned by almost every significant Search Engine on the Internet, when looking for "1911 pistol", "M1911 pistol", "M-1911 pistol" etc. What this means for you, is more prospects, in other words more sales. Additionally, the support center of at least one M-1911 manufacturer, namely Kimber, is suggesting M1911.ORG to their customers, as a source for additional information about their pistols.
