Tanfoglio is a well-known pistols manufacturer. They produce some interesting 9mm CZ-copies pistols, but only recently (April 2003) it was brought to my attention that they also have a 1911 clone.

This is their competition model, it comes with ambidextrous safety, extended slide stop lever, wooder grips and fully adjustable Rear sight

This is their self-protection model and even though their site states that it has adjustable rear sights, it does not appear to have anything more than a high-visibility standard, military sight.

I have no more information regarding these pistols, I've e-mailed Tanfoglio and asked for more details, but so far, I have received nothing.
