This British manufacturer is producing a basic, no-frills, cast 1911.
Here are the specs:
A. PISTOL - This is a semi-automatic pistol, in calibre .45 ACP, and is recoil operated from a locked breech system and magazine fed. The pistol will fire just one round each time the trigger is pulled and is not capable of full automatic fire or firing in bursts. The self loading operation of the pistol is achieved by utilising the rearward force of the case of the fired round to unlock the slide and push it rearwards, eject the spent case, and on the forward motion strip a live round from the magazine and feed into the chamber with the slide returning to battery position ready for firing.
B. MAGAZINE - The standard magazine holds seven cartridges, when the last cartridge has been fired the slide remains in the rearward position and does not go forward into battery, as it does when live cartridges are still present. Larger capacity magazines are available by special arrangement.
C. BARREL - Barrel manufactured from high quality carbon steel. All bores chrome-lined so in the event of the use of corrosive ammunition, immediate cleaning is not necessary, although recommended.
