CQB Products has announced a new M-1911 pistol, called "Spec-Ops 1911". According to the company's literature, the Spec-Ops 1911 (tm) is a battle-hardened 1911 designed and built for Combat handgunners and Operators. This is no competition gun.

The pistol comes with a Shuemann AET barrel and the followings are included in the price:

INCLUDED:
>  Insight Technology's M3 Tactical Illuminator
>  Blade-Tech kydex holster
>  Blade-Tech magazine pouch
>  Blade-Tech light pouch.
>  5 Wilson Combat seven round magazines are included as well.

The specifications of the pistol are listed below (advantages as listed by the CQB Products):

Technical Specifications: Advantage:
Permanently mounted plunger tube This plunger tube will never loosen.  Other 1911 plunger tubes have been known to loosen, allowing the pin to ride below the thumb safety and causing the thumb safety to become "locked" in the on position.  This will never happen with the Spec-Ops 1911.
Anti-Walk slide stop pin The slide stop pin will never work its way out of the frame, causing the slide to lock-up.
Integral sight rail For mounting of Insight Technologies M3 Tactical Illuminator.  This is the BEST on-gun tactical light in the world today. Other lights can be mounted, but why?
No-shift front and rear tritium night sights Heine Slant-Pro Straight Eight tritium night sights.  Without a doubt the most desirable night sights on the market today.  Designed with a front ledge on the rear sight.  Why?  The rear sight front edge allows the slide to be cycled one handed for malfunction clearances.  (You don't think you will ever have to do one handed malfunction clearances? Think again). No-shift means that the front and rear sights will not move.  The sights are zeroed for a point of aim, point of impact at 25 yards.  They will NOT shift under recoil - ever.  No competitor adjustable sights here.
Self cleaning rails Frame and slide rails are designed to be self cleaning, dramatically reducing malfunction probability. (Pat. Pending).
Dehorned edges No sharp edges to cut your hand or snag on clothing.
KG Industries' Gun-Kote Moly epoxy polymer finish The frame is first parkerized, and then finished with KG Industries' tough, baked on Moly epoxy polymer finish.  The matte grey finish is standard (black, olive drab, and brown are optional).  KG Industries' Gun-Kote offers superior corrosion and wear resistance.  This finish will surpass 500 hour salt spray tests.  The Moly component offers excellent lubricity characteristics.  The parkerized undercoating add to the already superior wear resistance of the Gun-Kote.
30 lpi or stippled front strap The front strap is checkered at 30 lpi or stippled (your choice).  The bottom 1/4" of the front strap is not checkered or stippled.  This allows smooth and rapid removal of the magazine by the front edge if the magazine should fail to fall free from the gun.
Parkerized slide The slide is parkerized.

Shoulder supported recoil spring cap

The recoil spring cap is supported on the inside shoulder of the slide - not on the bushing.  This reduces stress on the bushing, and eliminates any possibility of bushing failures due to stress fractures.

Fluted barrel chamber
Ramped barrel
Fully supported chamber
Schuemann AET barrels.  Fluted chambers allow for ease of extraction (decreasing the probability of type 3 malfunctions - failures to extract).  Schuemann AET barrels are the most advanced barrels on the market.  Features such as Gain Twist Rifling, Variable Width Lands, Chamber Fluting, Freebore Fluting, Curved Feed Ramp, and Chamber Chamfer make the AET barrel the most reliable - and that's what you need.
Extra long front slide cocking serrations

Front slide cocking serrations are 1.5" in length - giving extra gripping surface for chamber checking.

Rear cocking serrations extended to rear end of slide.  Rear cocking serrations only at top 3/4 of slide.

The rear cocking serrations extend to the rear end of the slide, making slide manipulations positive and firm.  Also, the rear cocking serrations are machined only at the top 3/4 of the slide - allowing a high, thumb on top of safety hold without retarding slide movement.

Black rubber stocks (grips) We don't use wood.  No pretty grain patterns.  Wood cracks.  Wood warps.  Black rubber never chips, cracks, and offers a solid, no slip grip.  This is the perfect stock for an operator's pistol.
2" accuracy at 25 yards There are other 1911's out there that advertise better accuracy.  But why?  Increasing accuracy DECREASES reliability.  Period.  Do you want a gun that shoots 1" at 50 yards with 99% reliability - or do you want a gun that shoots 2" at 25 yards with 100% reliability?  Ask yourself, if your life depended on it, which would you rather have?  All gun experts agree - reliability is the number one factor in choosing a defensive handgun.
Blade-Tech kydex holster, magazine pouch, and light pouch Included.  You specify the holster (straight drop, off-set, IWB, right/left hand).  It's all included - because your weapon system is just that - a SYSTEM.  You can't carry your Spec-Ops 1911 unless you can carry your Spec-Ops 1911.
Insight Technology's M3 Tactical Illuminator The M3 Tactical Illuminator is currently the best on the market.  No gimmicky pressure switches (not on a handgun), no "shuttle switch", no high intensity light to cause back-wash light to harm your own night vision - the M3 Tactical Illuminator is the perfect light for the Spec-Ops 1911.

(5) Wilson 7 round magazines (5) Five seven round Wilson magazines are included.  We use Wilson 7 round mags, instead of 8 round mags because they feed more reliably than the 8 round mags.  Ask any combat handgunner.  Wilson magazines are the best magazines for the 1911 on the market today.  Why use another?  Five of the best magazines in the world are included.  You need 5 magazines.  You may carry only 3, but you will train with at least 5.  So we include 5.
