Unique Raffle Benefits USPSA Juniors Program
Sedro-Woolley, WA — The United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) Area 8 is offering a unique fundraising raffle with all proceeds going to the USPSA Junior Program. For a modest $5 donation, you could win one of two competition ready 1911 pistols.
The raffle, which was organized by USPSA Area 8 Director Alan Meek and Kevin Greely of Greely Custom Gunsmithing, features a Greely built Caspian Hi-Cap .40 S&W Limited gun valued at $2,500, and an STI Spartan 1911 in .45 ACP with a retail price of $660. Tickets for the Greely built pistol are only $5 each. Individuals that purchase one or more tickets will automatically have their name entered into the drawing for the STI Spartan which was donated by Sam Conway of American Shooters Edge.
"With industry support from Caspian, Bar-Sto Precision, EGW, Kevin Greely of Greely Custom Gunsmithing and American Shooters Edge, we hope to raise over $2,500 for USPSA's Juniors Program," said Alan Meek, USPSA Area 8 Director.
The drawing will take place Sunday, May 25 at the close of the TeachWear USA 2008 USPSA Area 8 Championships which are being held at the East Huntingdon Sportsmen's Association Range in Alverton, Pennsylvania. Tickets for the raffle will be available up until May 15 or available at the match. Individuals not attending the match but interested in supporting the USPSA Juniors Program can contact Alan Meek via email at area8@uspsa.org to purchase tickets.
