Colt is not only producing complete pistols, but also parts for the M-1911. These parts include normal replacement parts, as well as some optics they market. From their literature and looks, these optics are made by C-More. Look at the pictures below.

In March 1999 Colt announced the availability of a new conversion kit, in .22 LR. It is called Colt Ace II, and it is suitable for the Series 80 pistols. It comes complete with Government length slide with adjustable sight, link-less barrel, solid barrel bushing, recoil spring, magazine and (I wish I knew why) an arched mainspring housing.

Here is a picture of the old Ace conversion kit, with the floating barrel. If you can located anywhere, get one, it sure is worth its money.
