Bear Coat
This is a unique finish, based on DuPont Industrial TEFLON bonded
to the metal of firearms in a combination of epoxy and melamine resins. You
may be familiar with DuPonts MelMac line of unbreakable dishes, this is of
the same family. This is a hard, durable, scratch resistant,
self-lubricating finish. Much different that the soft moly coatings or old
water based teflon from frying pan origins.
"BearCoat" is the most durable all weather firearms finish available. This
has been verified via blind testing done by various authorities. This is the finish offered on
America's finest firearms produced by Weatherby's Custom Shop, Cabela's,
The World's Foremost Outfitter and Les Baer.
