Shown here is a typical example of Aimtech scope mounting system for the M-1911. All Aimtech mounting systems are unique for each pistol and designed especially for the individual firearm. Many of the centerfire mounts utilize custom screws which replace existing pins or screw in the firearm to help secure the mount as well as utilizing the grip screws. All of the Aimtech pistol mounts (with the exception of the Glock and Sigma) mount on the right side of the pistol to stay clear of the slide lock levers and safeties as well as provide a better aesthetic look. Their mounts are extruded and then machined from heat treated aluminum alloy.
